The Blustery Stays
Lilac Bush. It buckets down rain and I am painting in my doorway again looking outside. I want to be outside. My one daughter got braces put on today so I make a big pot of applesauce for her. The house smells appley and sweet as I paint.
I paint in poor lighting and the tones look dark but is actually a light painting. I am accentuating the full weightiness of the lilac cluster in contrast with the light breeze lifted leaves.

This is how it looks well lit. The above photo is how I saw it while I was painting. |
